Release Notes 2024

Here's what changed:

Updates:

• NEW! Restrict Medical module forms to certain sessions
  • Restrict each individual page of the health history form, and each individual printed medical form, to specific sessions.
  • Open the edit modal for each health history page/printed medical form to find a new setting for “Restrict by session"
    • When “Restrict by session” = YES, a checklist of all sessions for the corresponding year will display.
    • If a session is selected, campers who have selected that session on their enrollment form will be able to see the corresponding medical form on the parent dashboard.
  • Note: form visibility is still also subject to the camper’s enrollment progress/the ”display during enrollment” setting. Also, Session restriction settings do not rollover - you must re-select session restrictions each year as needed.
     
• Select multiple files to upload into a printed form
  • When parents, staff, guests, or admin upload a "printed" form, they can now select multiple files (PDFs and/or JPGs) to submit as their (1) form.
  • Upon submission, CampSite will automatically create a single multi-page PDF of all the files they uploaded.
  • This update also applies to printed medical forms.
• We updated the GET and POST API endpoints for Medications to include the 'notes' and 'receive by' fields.
   
• Staff custom salary fields are now included in the rollover
  • Remember, you don't roll over the values saved in custom fields - you're just enabling the custom field again for the new rollover year.
     
• The Pyxis payment gateway report is back!
  • Find the "Pyxis gateway report" on the Financial Dashboard, under the Deposit Report.
  • Use this report on transactions settled over your payment gateway. The results also now include the transaction "category" that the payment belongs to.
  • Currently, the report will only return credit card transactions, but we're working on having checking account transactions on it, too.

Bug Fixes:

• We fixed a bug that caused staff applicant reference form submissions to get deleted if the applicant went back through their application and 'saved' the References page again. 
   
• We fixed a bug that allowed admins using 2FA to bypass the 2FA prompt if they followed a link directly into their database from the 2FA code entry page. 
   
• We also got the API endpoints for bunking working again. 
   
• We also made some improvements to a few small cosmetic issues on the Parent Dashboard after we updated the "backend" of our responsive design layout in our last release.

Here's what changed:

• 🪪 MORE LABELS! We've added the following label formats that you've asked for:
  • Avery 5163, 5164, 5168, 5267, 5390, and 5960.
• 💊 For camps with our Medical module, medication delivery times can now be made inactive when you don't need them anymore. Inactive delivery times are hidden on the health history form when parents/staff enter their medications as well as the medication delivery logging tool.
• 🤖 ...and a bunch of "behind the scenes" updates to keep CampSite running smoothly and securely.

Today's release includes the following updates and improvements:

🌟 New features/improvements:

• Staff > You can now customize the term "Staff" on the Staff Dashboard. Find this new setting under Admin > Staff > Staff Dashboard > "Alternate display name for Staff on the Staff Dashboard."
• Forms > ALL printed forms (family, camper, staff, events, and printed medical forms!) now have a new "instructions" setting to display custom text directly above where camper/staff/guests etc. upload the form on the dashboard.
• Medical > The Recent Health Center Visit Log now displays ALL logs during the timeframe filtered for, and a new "load more..." link at the bottom of the page controls how many display on the page.
• Donors > Donors can now download their yearly financial statement (of all general donations and requested payments) via the "My Account" tab of their Donor Dashboard.
• API > The Transactions GET endpoint can now get transactions created up to 180 days ago (increased from a max of 90 days ago).

🪲 Bug fixes

• Events > On the registration form checkout, the "auto pay" dropdown doesn't disappear anymore after choosing a credit card.
• Donors > When editing an existing donation or payment request on a donor's profile, the "category'' dropdown now reflects the correct category assigned to the transaction.
• Admin > Email notifications > We fixed a bug where admin users were receiving the "Auto pay batch results" e-mail multiple times for the same payment.
• Medical > We fixed a rare error that could prevent printing a health center visit log in certain scenarios.
• Email > Merge fields > We also fixed another rare error that was causing the 'family balance' merge field to produce the wrong amount in very specific scenarios.
• ...and a few more behind-the-scenes changes that aren't as exciting.

What's new:

• New API endpoints to GET/POST/PUT camper transportation data.
  • Manage a camper's: method; bus; vehicle; stop; flight details; transportation form question responses; and transportation exceptions (PUT & GET only).
     
• Generate the names of the staff assigned to a camper's bunk(s) via the new "Bunk staff" report + email merge field.
  • Use the 'Bunk staff' field under the Enrollment tab to populate the names of ALL staff assigned to every bunk the camper is in.
  • Use the 'Bunk staff' field under the Bunking Boards tab to populate the names of staff assigned to (1) specific session/bunk.
  • Staff names are displayed as "First name Last name", separated by commas.
     
• See when a staff, guest, and donor last logged in to their dashboard account via the new "last login" field on their profile & in advanced reports.
  • Find this field on the 'Basic info' tab of their profile, and also in advanced reports.
     
• Within the donor module, admins can now generate a yearly statement of all payments made by a donor for the year you select.
  • Find the new 'Generate statement' option in the Action Menu of the Donor profile page
  • Add custom text to all Donor statements via Admin > Donors > Financial: Communication
     
• In the Medical module, the Recent Health Center Visit Logs now includes the 'staff attending' value for each log, as well as the name of the camper's bunk(s) and staff's department(s).
   
• Minor improvements to the admin user experience & bug fixes.
  • We fixed immunizations save issues on the Camper and Staff mobile responsive profile pages.
  • We also fixed where an apostrophe symbol displayed as HTML code in certain scenarios for Staff and (Events) Group pages, as well as dropdown lists on the admin side.

Today's release features the following updates and improvements:

Improvements

• Admins can now set a custom date range to control which transactions appear on a family's financial statement. Note that reversed transactions still do not appear on a financial statement, even if they weren't reversed during the custom date range you've entered. To learn more, click here.
• For camps using our API, the API will now:    
  • auto-increment ID numbers when POSTing new family, campers, staff, groups, guests, and donors.
  • include payment schedule data on the Transactions endpoint.
• For camps using the Parent Dashboard Translation feature - you can now customize how certain terms translate. For help, contact support.

Bug Fixes

We also fixed the following bugs:

• The CSI Gateway report will no longer error out if chargebacks or returns appear in the results.
• We released another improvement to the process for merging duplicate staff accounts.
• We fixed a bug where, in a very specific scenario, some parents got an error to select a payment schedule when checking out on the enrollment form but no schedules displayed for them to select.
• We also fixed a bug where campers were being waitlisted despite camps having waitlisting disabled, if they selected an enrollment option that was initially available but became full in the middle of enrolling. Now, parents will receive an error at checkout if their selected option(s) have become full, and must go back and change their selected options in order to successfully submit.

Today's release features the following updates and improvements: 

• 🪲 Bug fixes:   
  • Camp Today Facial Recognition is working properly again.
  • The Lead Tracking page now displays the correct months at the top of the page (i.e. the total leads for the current and last 3 months). 
  • The "Temporarily revert to original profile" feature for loading a profile page in legacy when using the responsive admin dashboard is working properly again.
  • Medical forms can again be printed in bulk by Session when using the Responsive Admin Design.
  • When creating a Package in the Conference + Retreat module, you can now successfully add facilities, equipment, and meals where the default rate is set to 'none.'
    
    
• 🌟 New features/improvements:      
  • The family profile page now records a history log whenever an invoice is deleted from any of the family's payment schedule(s) (whether via their profile or during the Generate Invoices step of batch invoicing).
  • The Transaction Log now includes filters for filtering Donor transactions into/out of the results.
