Setup Samples

Full Summer With No Flexibility Setup Sample

In this article, we will present the steps that CampSite would recommend an admin user take to create a simple Full Summer camp option should be created using the Setup Wizard.

If the following statement sounds like your camp program needs, then this setup may be for you:

"My program is a single session long. Participants sign up for the entire program with no customization of dates attended. This might be a full-summer camp, after school care for a semester, or a program that runs a single week or session of operation."

Step 1: Request For Information Form + New Family Enrollment Form Setup

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Request For Information Form + New Family Enrollment Form Setup, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 1: Request for information + New family enrollment form setup

Step 2: Sessions

You’ll want to create a session that encompasses the start date, the end date, and any capacity restrictions you have.

  • Click +Add session…
  • Give your session a name, like ‘Summer Camp 2026’
  • Select your Camp Start and End Dates
  • Set a Capacity under Maximum Capacity if needed
  • Select the closest ‘active days’ to your camp model - weekdays for a M-F, All days for all days, etc. You can modify any specific days in the next step.
  • Click the add new session button.

If you need to add sub capacities or edit the active days of this session, you can double click the pencil to the left of the session name.

You can learn more about how create a new session in more detail here: Step 2: Sessions

Step 3: Transaction Categories

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Transaction Categories, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 3: Transaction Categories

Step 4: Payment Schedules

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Payment Schedules, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 4: Payment Schedules

Step 5: Tuition

Next, we’ll create a tuition plan for the summer session. Note, you may need to make more if your camp is able to be purchased at different rates (like a members rate and a non-members rate).

  1. Click +Add Tuition Plan
  2. In the new window, name your tuition plan. This should encompass the base rate of coming to your session that applies to your campers.
  3. Select the transaction category that funds paid for this camp should be allocated to.
  4. Set the amount.
    1. Note, if you have early bird/ late sign up price increase, you can learn more about tuition plan rates here: Campers Wizard - Step 5: Tuition Plans

Step 6: Enrollment Extras

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Enrollment Extras, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 6: Enrollment Extras

Step 7: Enrollment Discounts

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Enrollment Discounts, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 7: Enrollment Discounts

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Enrollment Form Setup, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 8: Enrollment Form Setup

Step 9: Enrollment Options

In this step, we’ll create an enrollment option for parents to select for your camp. Since you only have a singular session, you may only need to create one option, with a single bundle inside.

  1. Click +Add Enrollment Option
    • In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description! You may want to include pricing here if you want your parents/guardians to see it prior to checkout, especially if you will only have ONE bundle.
    • Select a payment schedule if necessary
    • Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    • Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
  1.  Once the option is made, select +add bundle
    • In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. This might be a place to put something like ‘Full Camp, or Full Summer’.
    • Set number of sessions to ‘1’
    • Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
    • Select the session you made on step 2.
    • Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    • Select any enrollment extras campers enrolling in this bundle may select.
    • Click ‘Add Bundle’ to add the bundle.
    • You may need to set a deposit if you are collecting a portion or all of the funds for this bundle up front. You can learn more about that step here: Campers Wizard - Step 9: Enrollment Options
  1. Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed.

For Multiple Enrollment Options

If you have multiple price points for this session, or need to create multiple different enrollment restrictions, you may need to create more than one enrollment option for your program.

If you need to set up multiple prices restricted on criteria, repeat these steps above.

When repeating these steps, please ensure the session selected in the bundle creation menu is your singular all-season session.

Weekly Enrollment Options With No Flexibility Setup Sample

In this article, we will present the steps that CampSite would recommend an admin user take to create a simple Weekly Camp option should be created using the Setup Wizard.

If the following statement sounds like your camp program needs, then this setup may be for you:

"My program runs more than one session. Typically, guardians can opt their campers in on a week by week basis, and they attend the full week. This might be programs like weekly day camps, travel camps, or any other program where families are signing up one week at a time."

You’ll want to create a session that encompasses the start date and  end date, and any capacity restrictions you have PER WEEK.

  • Click +Add session…
  • Give your session a name, like ‘Camp Week 1’
  • Select your Camp Start and End Dates
  • Set a Capacity under Maximum Capacity if needed
  • Select the closest ‘active days’ to your camp model weekdays for a M-F is most common, but you can modify any specific days in the next step if necessary.
  • Click the add new session button.

If you need to add sub capacities or edit the active days of this session, you can double click the pencil to the left of the session name. You can learn more about these actions here: Campers Wizard - Step 2: Sessions

Step 4: Payment Schedules

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Payment Schedules, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 4: Payment Schedules

Step 5: Tuition

Next, we’ll create a tuition plan for the week-long sessions.

Note, you may need to make more if your camp is able to be purchased at different rates (like a members rate and a non-members rate) - or if you have pro-rated week rates for a holiday/closure.

  1. Click +Add Tuition Plan
  2. In the new window, name your tuition plan. This should encompass the base rate of coming to your week-long session that applies to your campers.
  3. Select the transaction category that funds paid for this camp should be allocated to.
  4. Set the amount.
    1. Note, if you have early bird/ late sign up price increase, you can learn more about tuition plan rates here: Campers Wizard - Step 5: Tuition Plans
  5. If you have any weeks where you are pro-rating the cost (due to a holiday or closure), repeat these steps to add that special tuition plan in as well.

Step 8: Enrollment Form Setup

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Enrollment Form Setup, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 8: Enrollment Form Setup

Step 9: Enrollment Options

In this step, we’ll create an enrollment option for parents to select for your camp. There are two main ways to set this up within CampSite:

  1. A single option where parents select how many weeks they are attending, then which weeks specifically they will attend
  2. Creating a separate enrollment option for each week that parents will choose one at a time (à la carte).

Pros of One Option with Many Bundles

A setup with one option where parents/guardians can select how many weeks to attend, then which weeks, provides a seamless experience for parents on the initial sign up.

It does not favor setups with pricing dependent on restrictions (like multiple age/grade restrictions, or multiple report restrictions) as well, and will require more administration if a family wants to add additional weeks on to their first enrollment à la carte.

If you are creating one enrollment option with many bundles (pick 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks):

  1. Once the option is made, select +add bundle
    1. In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. This might be a place to put something like ‘One Week, Two Weeks, Three Weeks, etc)
    2. Set number of sessions to correspond with the amount of weeks this bundle can pick’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
    4. Select the sessions you made in step 2.
    5. Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    6. Select any enrollment extras campers enrolling in this bundle may select.
    7. Click ‘Add Bundle’ to add the bundle.
    8. You may need to set a deposit if you are collecting a portion or all of the funds for this bundle up front. You can learn more about that step here: Campers Wizard - Step 9: Enrollment Options

Pros of Many Options with Single Bundles

This type of setup does create more options for the administrator to manage on the administrative side, but the benefit is that parents can add options into their checkout a la carte, and this can support more nuance in restrictions, since restrictions are set per enrollment option and this setup has an option per week.

If your restrictions on grades, ages, or other criteria for campers might fluctuate week to week (Week 1 is preK-1st, week 2 is 1st-5th, etc), this is the recommended option.

  1. Click +Add Enrollment Option
    1. In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description!
      1. You may want to include pricing here if you want your parents/guardians to see it prior to checkout, especially if you will only have ONE bundle per option.
      2. If you are creating multiple options with single bundles, you’ll want to create options per week, each option name with the week # or dates.
      3. If you are creating one option with many bundles, you’ll want to name your option something like Summer Camp 2026 - your bundle names will indicate the week #.
    2. Select a payment schedule if necessary
    3. Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    4. Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.

If you are creating enrollment options PER WEEK with single bundles inside:

  1.  Once the option is made, select +add bundle
    1. In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. This might be a place to put something like ‘Week 1’.
    2. Set number of sessions to ‘1’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
    4. Select the session you made on step 2.
  1. Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed.

If you need to set up multiple prices restricted on criteria, repeat these steps.

Daily Options Setup Sample

In this article, we will present the steps that CampSite would recommend an admin user take to create a simple Daily Summer camp option should be created using the Setup Wizard.

If the following statement sounds like your camp program needs, then this setup may be for you:

My program runs more than one session. Campers sign up for a session that spans several days, but can pick how many of those days they attend, like 3 days a week, or only T/Th. This is best for camps that do daily enrollment, allow flexibility on how many days a camper can attend in a week long session, or for camps that run drop in care.

Click on a link below to skip right to the Step 9: Enrollment Options setup suggestions for each option:

Setting up Pick X of 5 (variable day bundles)

Setting Up Mon/Wed/Fri and Tues/Thurs bundles

Setting Up Single Day Enrollment Options

Step 2: Sessions

To start, you’ll want to create a session per day - so every day your program is occurring, there is a session.

  • Click +Add session…
  • Give your session a name, like ‘Week 1 Monday, or June 6th 2026’
  • Select Your Camp Start and End Dates as the SAME date.
  • Set a Capacity under Maximum Capacity if needed
  • Select the ‘active day’ option that matches your day of the week - a monday session should have ‘mondays only’
  • Click the add new session button.

If you need to add sub capacities or edit the active days of this session, you can double click the pencil to the left of the session name. You can learn more about these actions here:Campers Wizard - Step 2: Sessions

Please keep in mind that sessions on Step 2 of the setup wizard default to alphabetic/numeric order by name. While the default order cannot be changed, the page can be re-ordered by clicking on the column headers for Name, Start Date, End Date, Currently Enrolled, and Capacity.

Here in Step 5, you’ll need to decide what types of rates will exist - AKA, what purchasing options. Are days going to be offered in increasing increments, like a one day price, a two day price, a three day price? Or are prices going to be specialized: a full week price, a Monday/Wednesday/Friday price, a Tuesday/Thursday price? Some camps use one approach or the other, while others do a combination!

Setting up your rates:

  1. Click +Add Tuition Plan
  2. In the new window, name your tuition plan. This should encompass the base rate of the corresponding item  - 1 Day, 4 Days, T-Th, etc.
  3. Select the transaction category that funds paid for this camp should be allocated to.
  4. Set the amount.
    1. Note, if you have early bird/ late sign up price increase, you can learn more about tuition plan rates here:
  5. Repeat these steps for every base rate price iteration your organization might have.
    1. Here’s an example of what that might look like:

Step 9: Enrollment Options

In this step, we’ll set up your enrollment options and bundles. The most common setup for a ‘Daily’ program is by grouping the days into enrollment options representing your weeks of service. In this, a parent will select ‘week one’ as an enrollment option, and then select the bundle that should reflect their enrollment ‘1 day, MWF, Full Week, etc.’

If you would like your families to have the total ability to elect any singular day into their cart and submit for enrollment (‘adding a la carte’), you could also set up an enrollment option per day with a singular bundle inside. This is not typically recommended because it creates many enrollment options, and can be harder to set up discounts/extras for.

Setting up Pick X of 5 (variable day bundles)

  1.  Click +Add Enrollment Option
    1. In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description! This will be your first ‘week’ of offerings. An example title would be “Summer Camp Week One”
    2. Select a payment schedule if necessary
    3. Set Active to ‘Yes’
    4. Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
  1. Once the option is made, select +add bundle. You’ll be doing this as many times as you have days in the session. For brevity, I’ll give an example of a single selection, and picking ‘two’.
    1. Input a name - We recommend something like Pick 1 of 5, or Pick One, etc.
    2. Set number of sessions to ‘1’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      • This should be your ‘1 Day’ tuition plan.
    4. Select all of the daily options they could select their ‘one’ option from. Usually, this will be all of the days of this week that were made on Step 2.
  1. Time to set up your next bundle! Select +add bundle. This will be your ‘select two’ option, and you can follow these general steps for any other iteration of options.
    1. Input a name - We recommend something like Pick 2 of 5, or Pick Two, etc.
    2. Set number of sessions to ‘2’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      • This should be your ‘2 Day’ tuition plan.
    4. Select all of the daily options they could select their ‘two sessions’ from. Usually, this will be all of the days of this week that were made on Step 2.
  1. Repeat Step 3 for any other amount of daily option picking you might have, such as a pick 3, pick 4. If you are offering your clients the opportunity to select ‘all’ sessions for the week (full week, full session, etc), you can follow the same instructions as well!

Setting up MWF and T/TH bundles

This set up will be similar to the above, but instead of picking ‘any’ day out of the available days, the sessions will be restricted to just those that fall on the specific days of the week. An Enrollment option could contain both ‘pick any’ bundles and dedicated day of the week (mwf/t-th) bundles, and typically only occurs when the programs have a price difference (three days is not the same price as MWF, or two days and T-Th, for example).

    1. Input a name - We recommend something like MWF, Tuesday-Thursday, etc.
    2. Set the number of sessions to the corresponding number of days the bundle entails. A MWF bundle would be 3 days (3 sessions from Step 2). ’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      • This should be your ‘MWF or T-Th’ tuition plan
    4. Select the specific sessions from step 2 that correspond with the bundle you are building - like Week 1 - Monday, Week 1 - Wednesday, and Week 1 - Friday for a MWF bundle.
    5. Set Active to ‘Yes’
    6. Select any enrollment extras campers enrolling in this bundle may select.
    7.  Click ‘Add Bundle’ to add the bundle.
    8. Repeat for any other special bundles, like T-Th, or a full week bundle, in which all sessions are selected.

Setting Up Single Day Enrollment Options

  1. Click +Add Enrollment Option
    1. In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description! You may want to include pricing here if you want your parents/guardians to see it prior to checkout, especially since it will only have one bundle.
    2. Select a payment schedule if necessary
    3. Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    4. Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
  1.  Once the option is made, select +add bundle
    1. In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. This might be a place to put something like ‘Week 1 - Friday’.
    2. Set number of sessions to ‘1’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      1. This should be your ‘1 Day’ tuition plan.
    4. Select the corresponding session you made on step 2.
  1. Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed.
  1. Repeat for any days you are listing as single-day enrollment options for a la carte purchasing.
Half Day Options Setup Sample

In this article, we will present the steps that CampSite would recommend an admin user take to create a simple Half Day Summer camp option should be created using the Setup Wizard.

If the following statement sounds like your camp program needs, then this setup may be for you:

"My program operates Half Days (Morning, Afternoon, and a Full Day Option)."

"My program runs for more than one session. Parents/guardians can select specific days within that session, and further select which half of the day they are attending. This article is for organizations that run some sort of ‘half day’ enrollment program."

Step 2: Sessions

You’ll want to create a session per day and per option - so every day your program is occurring, there is a session for the smallest increment a camper can be present. This could mean you have up to three sessions on the same date - a Morning Half, an Afternoon Half, and a Full Day session. You’ll start by creating your full day sessions:

  • Click +Add session…
    • Give your session a name, like ‘Week 1 Monday Morning , or June 6th Morning,’
    • Select Your Camp Start and End Dates as the SAME date.
    • Set a Capacity under Maximum Capacity if needed
    • Select the ‘active day’ option that matches your day of the week - a monday session should have ‘mondays only’
    • Click the add new session button.

Repeat the above process for half days. If you have AM and PM half days, you’ll want to repeat it twice, once for each option. Make sure to include AM/PM or Morning/Afternoon in the session title for quicker reference.

If you need to add sub capacities or edit the active days of this session, you can double click the pencil to the left of the session name. You can learn more about these actions here: Campers Wizard - Step 2: Sessions

Here in step five, you’ll need to make the different rates. A daily rate, a half day rate, and maybe two half day rates if the prices vary between morning and afternoon. If your camp does a pro-rated rate for a full week of full days, you might also want to create that here as well.

  1. Click +Add Tuition Plan
  2. In the new window, name your tuition plan. This should encompass the base rate of the corresponding item (ie: Half Day AM, Full Day, Half Day PM, Non-Member Full Day, etc). Select the transaction category that funds paid for this camp should be allocated to.
  3. Set the amount.
    1. Note, if you have early bird/ late sign up price increase, you can learn more about tuition plan rates here:
  4. Repeat these steps for every base rate price iteration your organization might have. Below is an example of what that might look like.

Step 8: Enrollment Form Setup

This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Enrollment Form Setup, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 8: Enrollment Form Setup

Step 9: Enrollment Options

Here, we’ll want to really take into consideration what you want your bunking boards and reports to look like when building your bundles in your enrollment options. Should campers who attend a half day still be present in the full roster?

If your answer to ‘Should campers who attend a half day still be present in the full roster?’ Is YES...

....campers need to be on a combined bunking board and when I pull the full session roster, I want half day participants to be reflected. This is the best option if you are also assigning staff to groups of campers in the bunking boards with the Staff module, and/or utilizing bunk scheduling with the Program module. This is best for using the staff module alongside it and integrated reporting.

  1. Click +Add Enrollment Option
    1. In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description! This will be your first ‘week’ of offerings. An example title would be “Summer Camp Week One”
    2. Select a payment schedule if necessary
    3. Set Active to ‘Yes’
    4. Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
  1. Once the option is made, select +add bundle. You’ll be making a bundle for the half day (AM half and a PM half if you have that), plus a bundle that incorporates all - so 2-3 total.
    1. For your half day bundles, name them something like ‘Monday AM Only’ for single day half day sessions, or ‘Half Day AM’
    2. Set number of sessions to ‘2’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      • This should be your ‘half day’ tuition plan.
    4. Select the half day from Step 2: Sessions that this bundle represents, and the full day session (so this bundle will be pick 2 of 2).
  1. Repeat Step 2 for a PM half day, if needed.
  1. Repeat step 2 once more for a FULL day, selecting all relevant sessions for the day (Monday AM, Monday PM, Monday Full Day).

By the end of this process, your enrollment option should have three bundles inside, of which parents can pick one option. Monday AM places the camper in the Monday AM session and the combined full day session, similarly with Monday PM, or Monday full day - which places them on both of the half day rosters and a combined roster. This allows you to have a roster of everyone attending regardless of half/full status on bunking boards, but still separate out campers on each option easily within Advanced Reports.

If your answer to ‘Should campers who attend a half day still be present in the full roster?’ Is NO...

....campers will not be on the full day bunking board, nor returned in advanced reports when pulling the full day roster. This is best when the half days are totally separate from one another, and can only participate in one half (cannot attend full day).

  1. Click +Add Enrollment Option
    1. In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description!
    2. Select a payment schedule if necessary
    3. Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    4. Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
  1.  Once the option is made, select +add bundle
    1. In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. This might be a place to put something like ‘Monday July 20th AM’.
    2. Set number of sessions to ‘1’
    3. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      1. This should be your ‘half day’ tuition plan.
    4. Select the corresponding session you made on step 2.
  1. You can repeat step 2 to add another bundle with a PM bundle if necessary, or a full day option so parents can pick between bundles.
  1. Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed.
After School Options Setup Sample

In this article, we will present the steps that CampSite would recommend an admin user take to create a simple Half Day Summer camp option should be created using the Setup Wizard.

If the following statement sounds like your camp program needs, then this setup may be for you:

Step 2: Sessions

If your program operates PER WEEK, follow the setup instructions listed in the WEEKLY summer camp options, with your fall dates in mind! If there are multiple options per week, you’ll need to make multiple sessions.

If your program has campers enrolling in ‘SAME DAY EACH WEEK PER SEMESTER/TRIMESTER’:

  • Click +Add session…
  • Give your session a name, like ‘Fall Semester Mondays: Basketball, Fall Semester Mondays: Chess Club’ etc
  • Select your Camp Start and End Dates
  • Set a Capacity under Maximum Capacity if needed
  • Select the closest ‘active days’ to your semester model, such as ‘mondays only’. You can modify any specific days in the next step.
  • Click the add new session button.
    • Double click the pencil on this new session to open it up. Here you can select any Monday that is not a date for this option by clicking on its calendar box to toggle it on (green) or off (grey).

If your program operates ENTIRE SEMESTER/TRIMESTER, follow the setup instructions for FULL SUMMER with your fall dates in mind. If there are multiple options per semester/trimester for a student, you’ll need to make multiple sessions.

Participants select a program for the entire semester between offerings on a particular day of the week

If your participants can sign up for a day of the week (like all mondays for the semester), you’ll want to create an enrollment option PER day of the week, then bundles inside with any options of programs (if necessary).

  1. Click +Add Enrollment Option
    1. In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description!
      1. A name option might be something like ‘Fall Semester Mondays’

    3. Select a payment schedule if necessary
    4. Set Active to ‘Yes’.
    5. Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.

  1. Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed.

If you are creating one enrollment option with many bundles for a parent to select between (chess club, sports camp, study hall, etc):

  1. Once the option is made, select +add bundle
    1. In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. Each bundle should have a name that describes the program: Monday Chess Club, Monday Study Hall, etc.
      1. Set number of sessions to ‘1’
      2. Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
      3. Select the session you made on step 2.

      5. Select any enrollment extras campers enrolling in this bundle may select.
      6. Click ‘Add Bundle’ to add the bundle.

    2. Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed
    3. Repeat this setup for each session/bundle someone can select between for this day of the week. Then, if needed, repeat these steps to set up the other selections for your other day-of-the-week enrollment options.

Entire Semester/Trimester, no variations Options

Participants sign up for every day of the semester/trimester with no variations in days.

If your participants sign up in general for the entire semester/trimester, and do not select specific subsets (weeks, days), you can follow the setup under Full Summer With No Flexibility Setup Sample with your semester and trimester dates in mind.

Camper Forms

This article will show suggestions and examples of how CampSite can be used to gather form information about campers. Camper forms gather information about each individual camper who is part of a family unit.

Daily Forms

Permanent Forms

Becuase Permanent Forms are full of information that is gathered only one time (the first time the family creates their account and enrolls a camper), Permanent Forms should be for information that is unlikely to change in the future.

One example of a Permanent Form is a Photo Release Form.

A Photo Release Form would ask if a camp is allowed to take photos or videos of a camper. It may also ask if those photos and videos can be posted to a camps website, or even to the camps Camp Today Blog within CampSite.

Having a dropdown option for parents to select "Yes" or "No" tends to be easiest here.

It is also common that a "Signature" questions is added using the "Small Text" field. This gives parents/guardians the option to type in their name and electronically sign the form.

A date question is also common in a form like this. This will ask parents/guardians to select the date that they are filling out the form before submitting.

Yearly Forms

Yearly Forms will be full of information that needs to be gathered for each camper each year that they enroll in a camp. This will be information that is likely to be consistent for the entire calendar year.

One sample of this type of form is a Camper Information Form.

A Camper Information Form could be full of information that is needed for this years placements or activities. Asking for a campers interests, skills, habits, or needs could assist camp staff with placing that camper in a bunk, group, or activity that they can thrive in for the camp season.

This form best utilizes "Large Text" and "Small Text" answer type questions.

Session Forms

Session forms are unique to each session from Step 2 of your Setup Wizard. These types of forms will only display to those campers who are enrolling in the sessions that the form is created for. This is a way to restrict who needs to fill out a form and who can bypass it completely.

One example of a Session Form is a Field Trip or Activity Waiver.

A Field Trip or Activity Waiver is best used as a Session Form when only certain sessions out of your camp season are going on a field trip, while other sessions are not. For example, perhaps your session called "Art Camp" has a field trip to the local museum each year, while your session called "Math Camp" does not go off campus during their camp season.

Having a dropdown option for parents to select "Yes" or "No" tends to be easiest here so parents can approve or not approve their campers participation in trips or activities very clearly.

It is also common that a "Signature" questions is added using the "Small Text" field. This gives parents/guardians the option to type in their name and electronically sign the form.

A date question is also common in a form like this. This will ask parents/guardians to select the date that they are filling out the form before submitting.

Daily Forms

Daily forms are form information that is filled out by parents/guardians each active day of the session that the camper is enrolled in. Just like Sesssion forms, these forms will only display to campers who are actively enrolled in the sessions that they are made for. Unlike the other form scopes, Daily Form information is only reportable and active for the calendar date it is filled out for.

For this reason, a common Daily Form type is a Lunch Choice Form.

The Dropdown List option is best in this type of form to display the options a camper will have for the day.

It is also common to ask for food allergies or needs in a form like this using a "Large Text" field to describe allergies or needs if necessary.

Family Forms

This article will show suggestions and examples of how CampSite can be used to gather form information from families. Family information is gathered for the family as a whole, not on an individual level.

Permanent Forms

Becuase Permanent Forms are full of information that is gathered only one time (the first time the family creates a family profile and enrolls a camper), Permanent Forms should be for information that is unlikely to change in the future.

One example of a Permanent Family Form is a Household Information Form.

In a Household Information Form could gather information such as additional languages spoken at home or permanent emergency contacts (other than Parent 1 and Parent 2) who may live with the camper(s) and should be contacted in case of emergency.

Yearly Forms

Yearly Forms will be full of information that needs to be gathered for the family unit each year that they enroll their campers in a camp session. This will be information that is likely to be consistent for the entire calendar year.

One sample of this type of form is a Financial Aid Application.

A Financial Aid Application type form would ask questions about the family's income and enrollment status in assistance programs. This would typically be an optional form for families to fill out each year.
