In this article, we will present the steps that CampSite would recommend an admin user take to create a simple Daily Summer camp option should be created using the Setup Wizard.
If the following statement sounds like your camp program needs, then this setup may be for you:
My program runs more than one session. Campers sign up for a session that spans several days, but can pick how many of those days they attend, like 3 days a week, or only T/Th. This is best for camps that do daily enrollment, allow flexibility on how many days a camper can attend in a week long session, or for camps that run drop in care.
Click on a link below to skip right to the Step 9: Enrollment Options setup suggestions for each option:
Setting up Pick X of 5 (variable day bundles)
Step 2: Sessions
To start, you’ll want to create a session per day - so every day your program is occurring, there is a session.
- Click +Add session…
- Give your session a name, like ‘Week 1 Monday, or June 6th 2026’
- Select Your Camp Start and End Dates as the SAME date.
- Set a Capacity under Maximum Capacity if needed
- Select the ‘active day’ option that matches your day of the week - a monday session should have ‘mondays only’
- Click the add new session button.
If you need to add sub capacities or edit the active days of this session, you can double click the pencil to the left of the session name. You can learn more about these actions here:Campers Wizard - Step 2: Sessions
Please keep in mind that sessions on Step 2 of the setup wizard default to alphabetic/numeric order by name. While the default order cannot be changed, the page can be re-ordered by clicking on the column headers for Name, Start Date, End Date, Currently Enrolled, and Capacity.
Step 3: Transaction Categories
This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Transaction Categories, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 3: Transaction Categories
Step 4: Payment Schedules
This step has no direct instruction for this setup sample outside of it's general functionality. If you have questions about Payment Schedules, please see: Campers Wizard - Step 4: Payment Schedules
Step 5: Tuition
Here in Step 5, you’ll need to decide what types of rates will exist - AKA, what purchasing options. Are days going to be offered in increasing increments, like a one day price, a two day price, a three day price? Or are prices going to be specialized: a full week price, a Monday/Wednesday/Friday price, a Tuesday/Thursday price? Some camps use one approach or the other, while others do a combination!
Setting up your rates:
- Click +Add Tuition Plan
- In the new window, name your tuition plan. This should encompass the base rate of the corresponding item - 1 Day, 4 Days, T-Th, etc.
- Select the transaction category that funds paid for this camp should be allocated to.
- Set the amount.
- Note, if you have early bird/ late sign up price increase, you can learn more about tuition plan rates here:
- Repeat these steps for every base rate price iteration your organization might have.
- Here’s an example of what that might look like:
Step 9: Enrollment Options
In this step, we’ll set up your enrollment options and bundles. The most common setup for a ‘Daily’ program is by grouping the days into enrollment options representing your weeks of service. In this, a parent will select ‘week one’ as an enrollment option, and then select the bundle that should reflect their enrollment ‘1 day, MWF, Full Week, etc.’
If you would like your families to have the total ability to elect any singular day into their cart and submit for enrollment (‘adding a la carte’), you could also set up an enrollment option per day with a singular bundle inside. This is not typically recommended because it creates many enrollment options, and can be harder to set up discounts/extras for.
Setting up Pick X of 5 (variable day bundles)
- Click +Add Enrollment Option
- In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description! This will be your first ‘week’ of offerings. An example title would be “Summer Camp Week One”
- Select a payment schedule if necessary
- Set Active to ‘Yes’
- Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
- Once the option is made, select +add bundle. You’ll be doing this as many times as you have days in the session. For brevity, I’ll give an example of a single selection, and picking ‘two’.
- Input a name - We recommend something like Pick 1 of 5, or Pick One, etc.
- Set number of sessions to ‘1’
- Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
- This should be your ‘1 Day’ tuition plan.
- Select all of the daily options they could select their ‘one’ option from. Usually, this will be all of the days of this week that were made on Step 2.
- Set Active to ‘Yes’.
- Select any enrollment extras campers enrolling in this bundle may select.
- Click ‘Add Bundle’ to add the bundle.
- You may need to set a deposit if you are collecting a portion or all of the funds for this bundle up front. You can learn more about that step here: Campers Wizard - Step 9: Enrollment Options
- Time to set up your next bundle! Select +add bundle. This will be your ‘select two’ option, and you can follow these general steps for any other iteration of options.
- Input a name - We recommend something like Pick 2 of 5, or Pick Two, etc.
- Set number of sessions to ‘2’
- Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
- This should be your ‘2 Day’ tuition plan.
- Select all of the daily options they could select their ‘two sessions’ from.
- Repeat Step 3 for any other amount of daily option picking you might have, such as a pick 3, pick 4. If you are offering your clients the opportunity to select ‘all’ sessions for the week (full week, full session, etc), you can follow the same instructions as well!
Setting up MWF and T/TH bundles
This set up will be similar to the above, but instead of picking ‘any’ day out of the available days, the sessions will be restricted to just those that fall on the specific days of the week. An Enrollment option could contain both ‘pick any’ bundles and dedicated day of the week (mwf/t-th) bundles, and typically only occurs when the programs have a price difference (three days is not the same price as MWF, or two days and T-Th, for example).
- Input a name - We recommend something like MWF, Tuesday-Thursday, etc.
- Set the number of sessions to the corresponding number of days the bundle entails. A MWF bundle would be 3 days (3 sessions from Step 2). ’
- Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
- This should be your ‘MWF or T-Th’ tuition plan
- Select the specific sessions from step 2 that correspond with the bundle you are building - like Week 1 - Monday, Week 1 - Wednesday, and Week 1 - Friday for a MWF bundle.
- Set Active to ‘Yes’
- Select any enrollment extras campers enrolling in this bundle may select.
- Click ‘Add Bundle’ to add the bundle.
- Repeat for any other special bundles, like T-Th, or a full week bundle, in which all sessions are selected.
Setting Up Single Day Enrollment Options
- Click +Add Enrollment Option
- In the pop up window, give your enrollment option a name, and a description! You may want to include pricing here if you want your parents/guardians to see it prior to checkout, especially since it will only have one bundle.
- Select a payment schedule if necessary
- Set Active to ‘Yes’.
- Click the ‘add enrollment option’ button to close the window.
- Once the option is made, select +add bundle
- In the pop up window, give your bundle a name. This might be a place to put something like ‘Week 1 - Friday’.
- Set number of sessions to ‘1’
- Select the rate (Tuition Plan) participants enrolling in this bundle will be responsible for paying.
- This should be your ‘1 Day’ tuition plan.
- Select the corresponding session you made on step 2.
- Add any other details, such as restrictions, passcodes, or enrollment option questions as needed.
- Repeat for any days you are listing as single-day enrollment options for a la carte purchasing.
