App Content Guide + Sample Content

When starting out with MyCampApp, you may be looking for a jumping point to begin communication with your families through the app. Here are some suggestions on how to begin with messages and push notifications!

Before Camp

1. Post a “Welcome message” on the newsfeed 

2. Introduce your staff – you can create an Album “Meet our Staff” and add photos or videos of everyone. 

3. Share your camp calendar (post a PDF or a create events to publish in the app calendar. 

4. Publish an album with great camp photos to get camp families excited about the upcoming weeks. 

5. Create news items to remind parents about upcoming events and deadlines. 

6. Link to Campers / Parents Handbook and other important policies / documents

During Camp

1. Post daily news posts with highlights from the day’s activities 

2. Upload new photos 

3. Send mobile push notifications to engage parents to view the new photos and learn about what the kids did at camp 

4. Highlight your theme weeks / days 

5. Send mobile push notification to remind families to bring their stuff for the special themed events.

After Camp

1. Post a farewell message 

2. Ask for their feedback and post a link to a survey 

3. Offer a discount if they sign up for next summer

We are excited to welcome you again for summer 20XX! We have tons of fun planned for all our campers. 

This summer our mobile app will be used as the primary method of communication. Make sure to get the {App Name} app to get exclusive news, keep up to date on events and schedules, and see photos posted daily! 

The {App Name} app allows you to securely access and view camp photos, and videos too. It’s free! We’ll be sharing all things camp through our app this summer. Don’t miss reminders, schedules, photos, exclusive offers, and more – get the app today. 

To download the app please visit the Apple App Store or Google Play and search {App Name}. The app install guide is attached for step by step instructions.

We have tons of fun planned for all our campers this summer. 

This app will be used as the primary method of communication this summer. Please make sure to opt-in for Push Notifications to get our reminders. 

Tip: Go to "More" and tap on "My Camp Settings" to customize your app content with your camper's Group and Session. We’ll post new pictures and highlight camp activities every week ☺

3. Meet our Camp Director:
