Login Issues

When an email address is not recognized

Typically this is caused by a user trying to login with the wrong email address. If a user has a different email address on file with the camp, they will need to register again in the app using that email.

When an email address or password is incorrect

There may be a couple reasons why you are getting this error. 

A: If this is your first time using the app, please make sure to “SIGN UP” first. 

Steps to SIGN UP:

1. Launch the app, and from the landing page, tap  "First time using the app?  Click here to Sign Up!"

2. On the Sign Up page, enter the email used that is on file with the club/camp

3. Fill in the password information and click Sign Up

4. From there, a new confirmation email and token will be generated

5. Find the confirmation email within your email and click verify your email

6. From there, you should be confirmed and ready to login


 

B: Your password is wrong. To reset your password, please complete the steps below:

1. Launch the app

2. On the landing page, tap “Sign In with Email”.

3. On the Sign In page, tap “Forgot Password?” (Link is under “Sign In” button about mid-way down the page.)

4. On the Forgot Password? page, enter your email on file with the camp then press “SEND”.

 

An email will then be sent to you with a link which will allow you to change your password. 

Once the email is received, please follow the steps below:

1. Open your email, Subject should be “Reset your Password”

2. Locate the link within the email titled “RESET YOUR PASSWORD” and click it

3. A new webpage will pop-up allowing you to enter your desired password

4. Once the password is entered, please click “CREATE PASSWORD” and a message should display confirming the password was changed


 

Staff - App Login Errors 

Before accessing the app, all new staff users must  create an account  (possibly enter a “registration code”) and set a password. If a user tries to "Sign In" without having created an account, the app will display an error message.

 

Within your admin portal, you can easily identify whether a user has successfully created an account; a phone icon will appear next to their name.

 

If a user has not yet created an account in the app. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Tap “Create an account”
  2. Enter the information and set your password
  3. Go to the Sign In screen
  4. Login with your email address and new Password


 

WiFi Issue 

When a user attempts to log in to an app using a private network, they may encounter a connection error that displays one of the following messages:

"An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made"


 or

"The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "apiv2.my1218app.com" which could put your confidential information at risk."

It’s possible that the WIFI a user is connected to is private and has a firewall. In this case, try to connect to a different WiFi or using cellular network to connect and login the app.

Login the Web Photo Viewer 

To login the online Media Center a user must first create their account in the app

A user must first register their account on the Camp mobile app before they can login the web photo viewer by following these step by step instructions. 

  1. Tap “Create an account”
  2. Enter the information and set your password
  3. Go to the Sign In screen
  4. Login with your email address and new Password
