You can grant permission for certain staff app users to upload photos from their personal mobile device directly into your camp app’s photo albums.
Did you know? You can also limit their permission to upload photos only to a “photo triage” album that is not published in the app for parents.
The camp director or app admin can then review the photos and move them to a camp album once they are approved.
Below are the steps to assign/edit photo permissions for staff:
- Go to your online Admin Portal
- Go to Users on the left side menu bar
- Click on the “User Types” button located on the upper right of the dashboard
- Review your current settings: When “Can Upload Photos” is set to “true”, everyone with that User Type is able to upload photos from their phone to your app
To change the setting, click on the User Type you want to edit
- Check on/off the box for “Can upload photos”
- Select what Albums they can upload to (either ALL or choose one album)
- Click Save
Please note: App Users who are given permission to upload photos from their mobile device to an Album in your myCAMPappp, MUST select "Allow Access to All Photos" when prompted by iOS.
If they use an Android device, they should pick "Allow".
- A strong internet connection is required for the upload operation. If your Internet connection is not strong or reliable, you will experience issues while uploading photos from your device.
- It takes less than 1 minute to upload 50 photos with a good WiFi connection (upload speed at about 30 Mbps).
- Upload smaller batches if your connection is slower.
How to Photo Upload from the app
Below are the steps of uploading a photo:
1. From the Photos tab, select an album that you would like to upload a photo into.
2. From the Gallery, select Upload, located on the upper right corner of the display.
(If prompted make sure you “allow” the app to access your photos)
3. From there, a dialogue should display asking which source you would like to upload the photo from.
4. Pick a source and select an image.
5. Press Upload on the bottom of the screen to upload the image to the album.
6. A progress indicator will be displayed showing the status of your upload.
Once uploaded the image will be located on the bottom of the gallery. (The image will be repositioned to the top of the page if the you leave the album then go back into it.)
