Authorized Users

Authorized users are "extended family members" that are added to a family's account in order to have access to your camp's Camp Today media page.

• Authorized users have a couple of special links they can use for accessing your Camp Today media page -  it's the same URL used for your Parent Dashboard, but instead of ending in  /campers, it ends in /family or in /camptoday.

These are the two links associated with Camp Today: Media that are used for Authorized Users and Extended Family Members:

1. subdomain.campmanagement.com/family

   • This is the Extended Family login landing page. If you enter this URL with your domain name in place of the "subdomain" portion, this will bring Extended Family to their login page for Camp Today. Here they can access Camp Today after their account has already been created.  

     • The link for Extended Family member account creation is within the email that is automatically sent to them when they are added as a new Extended Family member. You can customize this message if you would like. Please see below for more.

      

2. subdomain.campmanagement.com/camptoday
   • This URL is for what we call 'Unknown Visitors'. Some camps use Camp Today for marketing purposes and this is a way for perspective families to see Camp Today posts without having an actual login or profile.
   • You can set a password for Unknown Visitors if you would like to restrict who can visit your Camp Today page without an official account. To set this password navigate to Admin> Camp Today> Media: Permissions. 

Please note that Authorized users can only access Camp Today; they can't access any other features on your Parent Dashboard.

You can customize the automatic email notification than an authorized user receives when they're added to a family's account by navigating to Admin> Camp Today> Authorized Users.

CampSite will automatically populate a new users login credentials after your custom message, so don't worry about adding them here.

Type your message and stylize it as needed, then click to save your changes. This email will be sent when an admin user or when a family member adds a new Extended Family member for a family.
