Mass Resetting Parent or Staff Dashboard Passwords

If you've imported families or staff into your database, you've created Dashboard accounts for them on their behalf. To grant them access to their accounts, you'll need to assign and email them all a temporary password. You can do this by sending out a mass email via the Advanced Reports tool.

Create an Advanced Report

To begin, navigate to the Campers or Staff dropdown menu on the navigation bar and select "Advanced Reports."

Resetting Parent Dashboard Passwords

Create a report that contains all the campers whose parents you wish to provide with a Parent Dashboard password (or, all Staff).

Next, click the "E-mail" button in the Advanced Reports toolbar to mass e-mail all parents/staff.

If you're setting passwords for parents, you'll need to select the option to send an e-mail to all families.

Send an E-mail

Next, compose your e-mail message. Note that parents will receive their new passwords in a second email that's sent automatically (once you send the present message).

Here's an example message that your current e-mail could contain:

Next, in the "Send e-mail" section, click to "Reset Dashboard passwords..."

For parents, you'll need to select which parents within each family you'd like to reset Parent Dashboard passwords for (primary and/or divorced parents).

Finally,  click to "Send e-mail."

Once you click "Send e-mail," your recipients will receive 2 e-mail messages - the current message you just drafted/sent, and then a second e-mail with a link to the Dashboard plus their temporary password.
